I agree with your thought, or should I say, I don&#039;t disagree. Both Jay&#039;s book and mine are based on how-to, practical instruction and/or nonfiction.  And neither one of us (I believe) is proposing a pure group effort, but rather a single-author effort that incorporates feedback and iteration from a reader community.

I don&#039;t have an opinion on whether this method would work for fiction.

		<description>I&#039;m a great fan of the Kindle. I own one, and I can&#039;t wait for all books to be available on it. While I doubt it will replace paper books completely, I think that in the future (far future) it may be the dominant form.

I&#039;m skeptical of the unbook. While the concept clearly works for articles and factual materials (see Wikipedia), I have my doubts that it will work for a book, particularly fiction. In general group efforts don&#039;t work well for creative materials. But you could prove me wrong, I suppose.</description>
